The Reindeer Who Became a Doctor

Born on Drum Island, Chopper was an ordinary reindeer until he ate the Hito Hito no Mi — the Human-Human Fruit. The change made him an outcast in both worlds: too human for reindeer, too animal for humans.

He was taken in by the legendary Dr. Hiriluk, a quack doctor with an enormous heart, who taught Chopper that medicine is about believing in miracles. After Hiriluk's sacrifice, Chopper studied under the coldly brilliant Dr. Kureha.

When Luffy arrived on Drum Island, he offered something no one ever had — unconditional acceptance. Chopper joined the Straw Hats and set out to fulfill his dream of curing any illness in the world.
